Town of
Ronda is located in
province of Malaga (autonomous community of
Andalusia,
Spain), around 100km away from the regional center -
city of Malaga.
The town is one of the most incredible places in entire country of
Spain. It is situated in the middle of the bizarre mountain range Serranía de Ronda (about 750m altitude), at the edge of a 120 meters deep and 70 meters wide canyon El Tajo. The Guadalevín River runs through the city, dividing it in two and carving out the canyon.
Ronda was first settled by the early Celts, but its subsequent Roman and then Moorish rulers are reflected most prominently in its architecture.
