Formentera is the smallest island in the
Balearic Islands. It has over 70 km of beaches and 85 km2 of extension. It is an ideal place to enjoy nature and practice outdoor sport activities in the water, or scuba diving.
Formentera is the only municipality on the island. San Francesc de Fromentera is a town where the most part of the population on the island lives. The rest is split up into diverse urban nucleus like that of La Sabina, La Mola, Sant Ferrao, and Es Pujois.
The island makes its living from tourism that comes from El Puerto de La Savina, one of the most touristic urban nucleus. Its beaches, underworld marine life, gastronomy, and climate are all winning attractions for its visitors.
